Mars Petcare is proud to announce the opening of Thompson’s Station first off leash area for dogs, the Nutro Dog Park. Thanks to a $100,000 donation, Mars Petcare partnered with the Town of Thompson’s Station and Outdoor Encounter to design and construct the park, which includes separate spaces for large and small dogs, sensory trails and bone-shaped benches. More than 90 Mars Associates volunteered 800 hours to make sure the park could open by October 1st. Keeping with the character of the town of Thompson’s Station and the NUTRO® brand, the park is natural. The park area is nearly 4 acres with plenty of space for dogs to run and play freely. A walking trail circles two separate off leash play yards to allow small and large dogs to play in their own space. “We build community partnerships to serve our vision of making A BETTER WORLDFOR PETS™,” said Rodolfo Spielmann, North America pet specialty division president. “Realizing there are fewer destinations where pets are allowed, Mars Petcare and the NUTRO® Brand have been committed to creating natural spaces across North America since 2010.” “We are proud of our partnership with the Town of Thompsons’s Station to bring this dog park to life,” said Angel May. “It’s truly an example of how our Associates live our vision and put our Principles into action.”
